"The Virg Concert Series on The Plaza" is continuing to heat up downtown Reno this summer as Orleans gets ready to take the stage in a free concert on Friday, July 23 at 8 p.m.

Best known for hits such as "Dance With Me," "Still The One," and "Love Takes Time," Orleans fans will be delighted to hear some of their old favorites plus listen to new music by the original band members John Hall, Larry Hoppen, and Lance Hoppen. While "Dance With Me" rose to the No. 6 slot in the 1975 pop charts, the song remains just as vibrant today continuing to receive major airplay on numerous radio formats. "Still The One" made it to No. 2 in 1976 and has been sought after as a theme song by several businesses including ABC television network, Burger King, and Keds. The song was also featured in the major motion picture "Primary Colors." While Orleans has been making music for more than 30 years, the band continues to create timeless and fresh music that stands the test of time.

Orleans is the latest group to perform in "The Virg Summer Concert Series on the Plaza." Each Friday night, running through August, Harrah's Reno will host a free concert on The Plaza. Other upcoming bands include Garratt Wilkins and The Parrotheads (July 30), Pat Travers (August 13), and the Classic Rock All-Stars (August 20). All concerts begin at 8 p.m. and the celebration will continue through the night as partygoers move from The Plaza into Reno's newest rock club, The Virg.
