Reno Rodeo

The 89th Reno Rodeo is the third largest rodeo in North America, with more than $2.5 million going to the world’s toughest cowboys and cowgirls. It is set for June 19 –28 at the Reno Livestock Events Center.

More than 800 contestants will compete. The Reno Rodeo brings the top professional cowboys from around the world to compete in one of the richest rodeos on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Rodeo Association circuit. Fans can see the winners compete up to three times during the 9-day performance. Fans are guaranteed to see the world's top 15 cowboys in each event perform for cash prizes and the event winner receives the coveted Reno Rodeo Silver Spurs. Total purse for the rodeo is over $550,000. The Reno Rodeo is one of the top stops on the Wrangler Summer Rodeo Tour and will be nationally broadcast on Fox Sports Net, ESPN and ESPN2.

The Reno Rodeo celebration begins with the Miss Reno Rodeo pageant and on June 15, with a 5-day Cattle Drive that starts in Doyle, CA and ends at the rodeo grounds. June 19 sees the kickoff to the Reno Rodeo with PRCA Xtreme Bulls, one night of Pro bull riding only as 40 cowboys compete for $40,000 cash. June 20 is the first of nine pro rodeo performances to attend with PRCA events including Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Bull Riding, Women's Professional Barrel Racing, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling and Tie-Down Roping. Reno will be known as the roping capital of rodeo with the addition of the Wrangler World’s Greatest Roper with 20 of the world’s best ropers competing on June 21 and 22 for cash and bragging rights. See the world’s richest amateur team roping, the Reno Rodeo Invitational Amateur Team Roping Competition, produced by Perry DiLoreto with a $1,000,000 purse and the world's richest pro team roping, the Bob Feist Invitational with an over $600,000 purse. Other events during the rodeo week are Drill Team competitions and Team Penning and Cutting. There is fun for the whole family with a full carnival, cowboy country shops with over one hundred vendors and carnival food and a mouth-watering food court with plenty of great restaurant quality food.

Tickets are available at www.renorodeo.com or call 1-800-225-2277. Tickets range in price from $12 - $22 based on seating and performance date. The Reno Livestock Events Center is located at 1350 N. Wells Ave., Reno, Nevada. "Rodeo is America!"
